Discover the story of “BLOCK”, a series of photographs in limited edition, shot by Robert Wunsch in a little town called Carrara, located in the north-west of Tuscany, Italy. Carrara is known for its beautiful beaches, rich cultural heritage, and its most famous export: The breath-taking white or blue-grey Carrara marble. Considered to be the best marble in the world, the Carrara marble has been used over the years by the greatest Master of Arts.

Robert Wunsch: “The series “BLOCK” focusses on the traces men leave in the mountains to quarry the marble. My pictures unite a calming beauty and silence with the formidable force and brutality of the elements. They show strength and fragility in the same instant.”
