Jacek Dziubiński

MEDIUM: Mixed Media
CITY: Sobótka, Poland

Jacek Dziubiński is an artist and designer who lives and works in Sobótka, Poland. With a Masters degree in Philosophy from the University of Wroclaw, today Jacek combines his true passion for art and paintings with a career as a graphic designer.
Jacek's plastic work pursues the synthetic representation of the universe, in which objects are decomposed into figures and geometric, one-dimensional shapes. In the artist’s plastic language the depth, volume and color are redefined to create dynamic compositions capable of drawing the observer’s attention. This process of synthetic abstraction seeks to blur the physical limits of the work and produce a powerful feeling of infinity with the changing elements that compose it.
Artig Gallery presents an original collection of mixed media works created by Jacek. All works are signed by the artist and will be delivered with a certificate of authenticity. Shipping directly from the artists.

“My personal style can be described as minimalistic geometric abstraction with a touch of the lyrical mood. I apply reduction to evoke the sense of seclusion, void and emptiness. Often, my works are an act of contemplation. There is a very subtle tension behind many of them, for I believe that there is no stillness without movement or silence without sound.
What I am trying to pursue is that which cannot be expressed in words. The primary intellectual inspirations for my art include Japanese aesthetic principle of Wabi-Sabi, Buddhist philosophy, and all kinds of mysticism. In art, I am influenced by 20th century avant-garde, modernism and functionalism in architecture (Bauhaus, etc.), minimalism and geometric abstraction, concrete and reductive art, orthodox icons and Japanese gardening art. I do paintings, collages and assemblages. Recently I have started producing site-specific installations featuring typographic compositions, concrete/visual poetry and sound. I also work with photography.”
